Our charitable children’s hospital was established in. March 2016 in Jinja District. Since then our hospital has treated over 60 thousand patients. In May 2018 we opened our maternity wing, and major surgical theatre.
Whisper specialises in Emergency and NICU services. We offer a free sickle cell clinic, a free TB clinic, a free family planning clinic. As the only non government hospital, we run a fully set nutritional ward where we treat around 3,000 malnourished children every year.
Whisper, the Union for Child Care, Outreach and Education is an International NGO that belongs to its mother organisation Whisper, that is UK registered charity no. 1139078. It has been in existence since June 2009.
Whisper offers 50% of bursary to some individuals under certain conditions.
Currently Whisper offers 50% to all students who sign up for the latest intake.
The NCLEX-RN, which stands for the National Council Licensure Examination [for] Registered Nurses (RN), is a computer adaptive test that is required for nursing graduates to successfully pass to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the US and Canada.

We know that investment in nurses and nursing education is the key towards a top class health care system in Uganda. We quickly noticed the importance of motivating, educating and training our nurses so our patients have much higher chances of survival during their stay at the hospital.

Veronika Cejpkova
CEO
Veronika is the Czech brain behind Whisper. She founded the International NGO in November 2010, and as the vision bearer, she is responsible for growing the organisation and its positive impact on the Ugandan community. She manages the overall operations of Whisper, and ensures that Whisper’s funding and its expenses are always inline with Whisper’s values, goals and targets.
Bobi Martin

Bobbi Martin has over 38 years’ nursing experience including 20 years at the bedside as a pediatric emergency night shift nurse. After earning a Master’s in Nursing Education, serving as Director of Nursing, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, and Dean of Nursing she became an expert in transition to practice among new graduate nurses and transitioning nurses at all levels of their careers. Her expertise led to the creation of Global Nurse Network and the culmination of innovative strategies that that connect expert nurses with practicing nurses in real-time through open-source technological solutions. GNN is a dedicated cadre of professional nurses that elevate practicing nurses’ confidence, competence, and help them improve patient outcomes around the globe..
